This show-exclusive* Resistance Battle Bus is available only at game shows that Hawk Wargames attends during 2016, and it’s a cool stand-in for the existing Battle Bus model – but best of all you can use this as an open-top bus with either anti-air or anti-ground unit suppression! Anyway…watch the video so you can get a good look!
A great add-on to the Monorail Scenery Pack from Hawk Wargames is the expansion set which lets you add more track and pillars for your monorail set! You can double the reach of your monorail for extra awesomeness on the table – and more transport options for your troops!
Another day, another Hawk Wargames scenery unboxing! This time it’s the Monorail Scenery Pack, which adds a super-cool 3D element to your game board. We’ll leave it to you to figure out why the monorail still works when everything else is ruined 😉
There must be lots of folks out there who play Dropzone Commander but haven’t seen the scenery packs yet, so this video (and a bunch of videos coming up!) are just for you!
This is the M116 Bunker Complex set from Hawk Wargames, and it features a handful of bunker models to use during ground battles in the Dropzone/Dropfleet setting. Although the model design is based on the UCM style, because these bunker designs were used all over human-occupied space, they’re suitable to be used in just about any Dropzone Commander battle! So give the video a watch so you can see what’s in the box, plus close-up views of the models themselves!
Here’s a close look at what you get from the Hawk Wargames show exclusive Civilian Vehicle packs! These are only available directly from Hawk at the shows and tournaments they attend this year!*
These make great additions to any 10mm gaming table, not just Dropzone Commander, but Horizon Wars, Heavy Gear and they should work well for the upcoming Games Workshop Adeptus Titanicus as well (although that is a smaller scale of 8mm the difference shouldn’t be noticeable during a game).
This time we’re unboxing the Aegis Orbital Defense Laser from Hawk Wargames! This multi-part resin model is meant to be a scenery piece for the Dropzone Commander game. You’d only ever see 1 of these in a DZC game, so don’t be put off by the high price. This model will also integrate with the Dropfleet Commander orbital space ship game, so it can serve a dual purpose if you’re playing a Dropfleet game that ties in with a Dropfleet game!
Wow, what a cool day. I don’t often spend a whole day gaming in a large room full of wargamers, but thanks to a friend who ponied up the cash to get the top ‘Admiral’ level of the Dropfleet Commander Kickstarter Campaign, I was able to attend the beta test day to take part in Hawk Wargames’ biggest day ever with 68 other folks eager to be among the first in the world to try out the Dropfleet Commander rules.
Here’s where I’m at painting my first Dropzone Commander starter army!
This is the UCM half of the Dropzone Commander starter set, with 3 colors of camouflage on it. I might add a very thin line of black but I’ll see how the models look after a wash of black to bring out the details.
